Mountains And Molehills

What is the most important issue in your life? May I suggest that the most important issue is whether you will go to Heaven or Hell at the end of your life. What is the second most important issue in your life? For those who go to Heaven the second most important issue is how many rewards they will be able to enjoy forever in Heaven. For those who go to Hell (the Lake of Fire) the second most important issue is how severe will be their judgment there.

Matthew 23:14: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows* houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Mark 12:38: And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, 39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: 40 Which devour widows* houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

1 Corinthians 3:11: For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man*s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man*s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man*s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man*s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

And remember the crowns that will be earned by some but not all.

When compared with those mountainous issues, everything else in your life is like a molehill. Have you been turning mountains into molehills or molehills into mountains or both? It would be better to treat the mountains like mountains and the molehills like molehills.
